Welcome to Melody Moments, the online home of Andrew Willink, a seasoned professional in the financial services industry turned musician. Andrew founded Canstar and RateCity, two of Australia’s premier online finance data, ratings, and research firms, which came together when Canstar acquired RateCity in 2022. While he remains Chairman and a major shareholder of Canstar, Andrew has pursued his love for music and built a close relationship with his grandchildren through his website and YouTube channel, OpaSings.com.
Andrew’s musical performances have been well received, with the grandkids joining in and even organizing concerts with him. Building on this success, Andrew has decided to embark on his next venture, www.melodymoments.com.au. Andrew will be playing the violin for residents in aged care centres, performing a blend of classical, popular, and traditional pieces. His goal is to bring joy and happiness to those who may be lonely or isolated, and to provide a sense of connection through the power of music.
Andrew is a skilled musician, having studied the violin since childhood. He has performed with orchestras and ensembles throughout his life, and has recently joined the second violin section of the Northern Rivers Symphony Orchestra (NRSO), a premier community orchestra in regional Australia founded by its Chief Conductor and Artistic Director, Barry Singh. He made his NRSO debut in Tchaikovsky: Triumph and Tragedy, a program featuring the Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture and Symphony No. 6, the Pathétique. Andrew now brings that experience and expertise to his performances at aged care centres. His passion for music is infectious, and his performances are sure to delight and inspire all who hear them.
At Melody Moments, we believe that music has the power to uplift and transform people’s lives, and we are committed to bringing Andrew’s performances to as many people as possible. If you are interested in booking Andrew for a performance at your aged care centre or have any questions about his services, please get in touch with us today.
